An idea worth spreading

I love the idea that KIVA.ORG gives everyone, anywhere in the world, the opportunity to help lift others out of poverty and even destitution through helping to start their own micro-businesses! you invest as little as $25 and Kiva will grant micro-loans to help individuals start their own little business in villages in Africa, India, Bangladesh and around the world. You even get to select who the loan helps! When they pay back your loan, you get to help others (you also have the option to take out your money) and see your own philanthropy grow and continue to make a real difference. (FULL DISCLOSURE: I don't work for Kiva, I just love the idea so much). Check it out, you'll feel really good to have such a powerful impact.

The TED story

Many years ago I stumbled upon a TEDtalks video on Youtube and thus began a love affair which is still enjoying honeymoon status. Being highly industrious has always been "normal" for me, so sharing new ideas has been a natural part of my existence. That first time I watched about a dozen TEDtalks, subscribed to the channel and visited the website. Later, when I discovered TEDx, I read for a couple hours, brainstormed for an hour and then applied! And so continues my love affair.
