Bio

Rajesh Kamireddi is the founder & CEO of ‘Organizing For India’ (OFI), a for-purpose organization. OFI Builds technology tools to harness the power of Internet to reignite Civil Activism. He has launched ‘Project Chaitra’, a unique video petition about crimes against women in his home state Andhra Pradesh, India. He is instrumental in shaping the narrative of the complex & evolving issue of Women's safety across Andhra Pradesh & made it an election agenda pointer for all political parties. ‘Be Counted’, OFI’s second campaign is aimed at increasing the voting share of Young Indians .At 65 % of Indian population, Youth in India are a powerful voter bloc. He also worked with Sankurathri Foundation as Director for strategy, planning & new initiatives & has helped in innovating in their eye care service delivery model. His work helped bring the cost of a cataract surgery to $50 at their eye care hospital. He consults with IT companies on technology, Innovation & strategy. He is presently leading the Retail Center of Excellence at an Indian IT Company. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University & Global Innovation Management at Stanford University. He was recognised as ‘Emerging Leader’ at Texas A&M University .He is a learner for Life & thinks that his best education has come from talking to those sitting next on buses & trains while travelling around India. He is evidently a very strong innovator, leader and believes in application of technology for social impact & Engagement of youth in Politics. Presently he is one of World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers. Rajesh hails from the city of Kakinada & his mother tongue is Telugu and is fluent in English, Hindi. Nineteenth-century Englishmen called Telugu the Italian of the East as all native words in Telugu end with a vowel sound.
