An idea worth spreading
A new way of understanding the way people, organizations, and economies work... Definitions excerpted from the rulebook of my tabletop simulation OFMOS® Essential:
• One-Need Theory of Behavior: Every individual's needs (or goals) stem from the single-yet-subjective, all-encompassing need 'successful existence.' Broader needs resolve into and are resolved by specific needs, all also shaped by context. In this hierarchical tree, the higher the need, the greater the perceived value.
• Ofmos: People naturally develop shared needs addressed by products, each pair mapping uniquely along a high–low spectrum of perceived value. Revealed through transactions over time, ofmos (offering-market cosmos; noun, singular and plural) are profit-generating abstract worlds, each defined by an offering and the customers who share the addressed need and key adjacent needs.
• Ofmos Theory of Business: Manage companies and economies as dynamic systems of ofmos that emerge, evolve, and dissolve.
