Amanda Turnbull is vice president and executive producer of Turner Marketplace Image for Turner Ad Sales overseeing planning, scripting and activation of portfolio messaging to the ad sales community. She leads the collaboration and execution of Turner Ad Sales narrative via out of home, experiential and strategic outreach. Turnbull is based in New York. Prior to the creation of this role, Turnbull was vice president of integrated marketing for CNN Ad Sales, overseeing content strategy, client integration and activation. Within this role, she liaises between CNN sales and editorial to develop cross platform partnership and sponsorship opportunities for clients. She oversaw all client activations across the CNN and HLN portfolios. To that capacity, Turnbull has managed the packaging and execution of key content for sales, including CNN’s Election coverage and several of the network’s largest programming initiatives, such as Heroes and CNN Original Series. She has also coordinated the CNN and Turner Upfront events. Turnbull joined CNN Ad Sales in June 2008 as senior director of programming integration, after ten years as a producer/journalist for CNN’s primetime programs. She served as a producer on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360, NewsNight with Aaron Brown, and The Moneyline News Hour with Lou Dobbs. She received an Emmy for her team’s coverage of the events of September 11, 2001, and was again Emmy-nominated for a feature on “The Smiths.” Additional accolades for her work on documentaries and long-form features include a National Headliner Award, a Dupont Award, a Gracie and a Peabody Award. A graduate of Boston University, Turnbull earned her bachelor’s degree in film and television studies. Turnbull is also a certified holistic health coach who enjoys cooking and swimming. She and her husband reside on Long Island and are proud parents of twin boys.
