Bio
Lorena Trinidad Vivas was born and raised in Manila. She graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Nursing and has been living in New York City for the past decade with her wife. She has over 23 years of ICU and ER experience in the United States, and her current view from the front lines makes her despair of the direction Donald Trump is leading the country. In her free time, she writes and plays basketball in Manhattan.
I'm passionate about
Women's Rights. Social Justice. Empathy.
Seeing yourself in other people’s shoes.
An idea worth spreading
Humanity above everything else.
In the words of Khalil Gibran:
“Patriotism cannot be our final spiritual shelter; my refuge is humanity. I will not buy glass for the price of diamonds, and I will never allow patriotism to triumph over humanity as long as I live. ”
Things you might not know
Explaining things. Writing stories. Drawing cartoon sketches of people at work. Making others feel welcome and comfortable.
