Born and raised in Chicago Illinois, I was born with an apprecaition for diversity, family, and of course the Chicago Cubs. While attending Western Illinois University, I found my passion for student activities and event planning, so I pursued graduate school at Illinois State University, in their College Student Personnel Administration Program, where I get to learn from some of the best Redbirds in the nation. I owe all of my success to my beautiful wife and the rest of my family, whom without I wouldn't be able to do what I do.

I believe that everybody has the the right to choose the happiness at any time in their life. The only thing that you can control in this life is your outlook on it, so choose to make it a happy outlook.

TED has always been an important avenue to me. I have found inspiration in the talks, and I have found a new focus for the way in which I hope to lead my students. I can remember from a young age watching TED videos in class and being in awe of the new and innovative ideas and philosophies being shared, and I new from the beginning that I wanted to be involved in something like this in the future.
