DAVID BINDER is a Tony Award winning producer whose credits include Broadway, festivals, and world-class events. On Broadway, David produced HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, which won four Tony Awards, including Best Revival. His record-breaking production of John Steinbeck’s OF MICE AND MEN, starring James Franco and Chris O’Dowd, was the first Broadway show to be filmed by the National Theatre of Great Britain’s NT Live. Other credits include the first Broadway revival of A RAISIN IN THE SUN, 33 VARIATIONS starring Jane Fonda, and the genre-defying shows DE LA GUARDA and FUERZA BRUTA. David produced THE HIGH LINE FESTIVAL curated by David Bowie featuring performances by Laurie Anderson, Ricky Gervais and Arcade Fire, and the Dutch NEW ISLAND FESTIVAL, ten days of site-specific theatre, music, and dance from The Netherlands on NY's Governors Island. More recently, he joined London’s LIFT festival as the Artistic Associate. David produced SHORT RIDE IN A FAST MACHINE, IBM’s Centennial Celebration at Lincoln Center. He has been a teaching fellow at Princeton University and for six years was on the faculty at the Yale School of Drama. His TED talk on “The Arts Festival Revolution” has been seen online by more than a half million people.
