Bio
I have been an educator for 30 years and my career has spanned 3 countries – India, Saudi Arabia and Canada. In my different roles from a classroom teacher to a school principal to a system superintendent, I bring a global lens to education.
I have worked in small and large, urban and suburban, local and international, homogeneous and heterogeneous schools. All my experiences have strengthened my belief that I, as an educator have a moral imperative to foster an engaging and inclusive environment that enables staff and students to develop the attitudes and beliefs in their capacity to excel and exceed expectations in a competitive world.
I'm passionate about
learning and teaching and making a difference in the lives of our students as they prepare to become global citizens.

Change management, Equity and inclusivity in schools, Leadership for learning, Technology and student engagement, Using data for school improvement
The TED story
TED talks have inspired me for many years and I have used them at staff meetings and professional development sessions. Then I learnt about TED Ed lessons and was fascinated by their potential. I asked a teacher who has written TED Ed lessons to share with groups of teachers how this resource can enhance student engagement and learning. I participated in these sessions and saw the excitement and near disbelief in teachers when they learnt they could create new lessons and/or modify existing lessons and make them their own. I see TED as a world school where youth and adults teach and learn from each other.
