Bio

Micah Spear is a cross-disciplinary artist and designer. His facility with the application of design thinking to business problems has brought him clients as diverse as Facebook, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Louis Vuitton, and Microsoft. Micah’s art practice currently explores the lure and destruction of money and has attracted the attention of global publications including Vice’s Creators Project and most recently F5 magazine as the 2016 cover story. His upcoming show “Null” debuts in Tokyo April 2017 at Shin Okishima’s (Stussy) SO1 Gallery which will accompany his self published book and a film by Julian Klincewiczs (Kanye West). He was previously a partner at Sightful, a research and design consultancy in New York City, and has also served as a contributing writer and design expert to Fast Company’s Creative BrainTrust. Micah’s personal projects are hard to keep track of—including a fashion collaboration between legendary Japanese streetwear designer Hiroshi Fujiwara and The Butcher’s Daughter in NYC, interior design for creative firms in New York City, collaboration with Pintrill, and concept brand New York Space Academy. Micah studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art, Parsons, Eugene Lang and works out of his studio in Brooklyn New York.
