Joanie Twersky is the Director of Speaker Coaching for TEDxPeachtree in Atlanta, GA. In addition to providing oversight for TEDxPeachtree, Joanie is currently a Senior Product Marketing Manager for AT&T where she is responsible for building a national strategy that bridges AT&T’s Smart City business with its 5G network planning efforts. This work spans 14 business units and is informing new Public-Private Partnership concepts with municipalities. Prior to her current role, Joanie ran the AT&T Foundry. In her three years at the Foundry, Joanie managed relationships and visibility for AT&T’s Atlanta-based innovation center with sponsors, academics, developers, inventors, venture capitalists, policy makers, analysts and community stakeholders. She also provided business oversight, leadership and opportunity analysis for product prototypes and proof-of concepts. Before joining AT&T in 2011, Joanie served over four years as a Program Manager for non-profit microfinance leader ACCION USA (AUSA) where she oversaw the disbursement of small business loans to microentrepreneurs throughout Georgia. An active member of the Atlanta community, Joanie is a 2013-2016 President’s Volunteer Service Award Winner and has held a number of leadership positions including graduate of LEAD Atlanta’s 2017 class. Joanie is the Co-Founder of New Neighbors’ Circle, a pilot mentorship project designed to support refugees recently resettled in the Atlanta area, which was featured nationally in a documentary by Welcoming America. In 2005, Joanie spent half a year in nomadic Mongolia studying economic development through the School of International Training. She holds an MBA from Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the George Washington University. Joanie and her husband, Adam, have collectively lived in five states and three countries but are proud to call Atlanta home.
