Principal of Boxer Capital and a Director of several other related companies: Jake focuses on the acquisition, financing, management and re-structuring of commercial and residential real estate throughout Canada and the United States, creating and increasing value for shareholders. Using his considerable strength in searching out and analyzing new opportunities for value and market cycles, Jake has handled well over $750 million in real estate acquisitions and dispositions in the past few decades. As a Director of the Boxer Group of companies, he continues to look for aggressive growth opportunities in real estate and private equity situations, while protecting the company’s asset base and strategically deploying cash to maximum advantage to the Company. Currently the company has focused in FinTech and owns cloud-based Felix Payment Systems and Appara legal AI technologies. Jake’s previous positions in international project management, investment banking, and strategic planning in North America, Europe, and Asia have provided him with a wide range of experience to bring to these tasks. Successful completion of real estate projects in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Phoenix, and Dallas over the past 25 years have catapulted the Company to a new level. Jake earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from University of British Columbia in Cellular Biology, his Masters of Business Administration degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Chicago’s Northwestern University, and his Masters of Philosophy Degree in International Relations from England’s Cambridge University. He has received numerous academic awards and scholarships and has had his research published. A family man with two daughters, Jake also serves in numerous volunteer roles within the community, and acts as Director on the Boards of several non- profit and private companies. He enjoys travel, skiing, and opera.
