An idea worth spreading

How we can harness the true potential of human kind to bring about extraordinary impact and change for good. Throughout history we have seen how things have been deemed impossible until one individual succeeds, and then the seemingly impossible becomes possible. I'd like to see what would happen if we harnessed our collective potential to make the impossible possible and brought about positive change for the future.

The TED story

I applied for the licence for TEDxWolverhampton in 2018 as I wanted to bring something positive to my home city. In the UK, Wolverhampton is often the butt of jokes and not viewed positively. It is often at the bottom of the best lists and top of the worst list in many areas. As a proud Wulfrunian (someone born in Wolverhampton) I decided to change the narrative and provide a platform to showcase some of the wonderful ideas, people and talents we have across the city. Having formed an amazing team of volunteers we are proud to have achieved our aim and each year TEDxWolverhampton brings welcomed energy and positivity to the city, along with a long lasting sense of curiosity, community, and impactful and lasting change.
