South Georgia childhood with incredibly loving, supportive parents and lots of time for play and pursuing interests (pets, reading, horses, golf, fun work.) Philosophy/Accounting major who quickly discovered that accounting paid better than philosophizing. Sigh... Wonderful partner of over 32 years who brings wisdom, warmth and wit in equal measure - who could ask for more!

Having the time to pursue interests and expanding on those interests. Meeting new people. Learning and growing through those experiences.

Collaborate with others to do more than you could with more than you had; without waiting for anything to change. Go ahead and do what you can. Let go of any initial thoughts that include "we can't do that because... until... without..."

Community Liaison for TEDxTryon 2015 and was asked by organizers to step in as co-organizer for 2016 event. Very interested in ongoing conversations, adventures and projects that extend beyond the 1 day event. Amazed at the connections made and willingness of participants to work and play together to expand on and spread those ideas worth spreading!
