I work for Kuvera Holdings, based in Beijing. Kuvera Holdings is an alliance of four family offices with complementary skill sets and resources, who work together based on the belief that i) mutual trust, combined with the willingness to pool pre-filtered deal flow, institutional knowledge and networked analysis offers better investment results and that ii) partnering with select, like-minded family offices can further enhance these results. Kuvera is industry, geography and business-stage agnostic, but tends to focus on technology leaders and cross-border value enhancement opportunities sourced directly by our global network of like-minded family office partners and entrepreneurs. My family, originally American, have been Beijing-based since the early '90s. I come from a tight-knit, eccentric family, and have 9 American cousins & siblings who speak Mandarin.

I believe the US/China bilateral relationship is the most important geopolitical dynamic of the 21st century. Thought leaders and particularly the family business & entrepreneur communities in both countries should aspire to build long-term trust and mutual understanding.
