Bio

I am in a temporary position as the manager of the Darrington Library. I made my way to Darrington from Chicago via Seattle, and have learned to cultivate both rural and urban roots. I am a mother of two beauties, Annabelle (3) and Rees (7 months), and a lover of literature and libraries.

I'm passionate about

I am passionate about art, music, literature and love. My husband, Eric, is a professional bass player, and I have enjoyed him at such venues as the Paramount, The Fillmore, High Sierra music festival and my dining room (where the best, bounciest twirling dance parties occur). I know, I know, I'm bragging; but seriously - he's amazing! My family is very musical. I paint, write and crochet regularly; and am also an amateur meteorologist/sky watcher. I’m still navigating the gardening world, but I’m relentless in my efforts.

An idea worth spreading

Every idea deserves spreading. A couple ideas I particularly enjoy are "Tablet Collections" within libraries and "Solar Roadways."

Areas of expertise

"Looking it up", Adaptability, Customer Service, Love, Music Appreciation

The TED story

I have been a fan of TED talks for several years now. Sno-Isle Libraries gave me an opportunity to host my first TEDx event in November, as we provided a simulcast of the TEDxSnoIsleLibraries event for the Darrington community. I'm thrilled to be bringing another TED event to Darrington on February 16, 2016, TEDxDarringtonLibraryLive!
