Bio
My roots go very deep in the historic, rural farming community of Coupeville, WA. I am the homegrown component of the Sno-Isle Libraries here, starting as a Page over 30+ years ago. I have progressed through five different library settings and now manage our beautiful remodeled and expanded Coupeville Library in the heart of Coupeville. I am passionate about lifelong learning and programming. I am also a small business owner for over 30+ years and understand the needs of the small business community on Whidbey Island.

The TED story
My first experience with TEDx was our local streaming event on Nov. 6th, 2015. The live event was in Edmonds, WA and our library had the infrastructure to do a streaming event. Based on past program attendance that we have received and a large panel event in January 2015 with over 100+ people in attendance, our stage was set to do well with TEDx. Coupeville and the surrounding area of Whidbey Island came out for an all day event and participants were so inspired by what they were viewing, they were asking when we would do it in 2016. I am thrilled to be hosting this next event on Feb. 16, 2016.
