My name is Ghazaal Kaviani and I am a computer engineering student in Shiraz University. I was born in Shiraz and grew up there, with a firm and inflexible education system. However, I was curious and eager to seek knowledge. Whatever I started to learn, I became interested in it. I had various study interests and hobbies but at last I chose to focus my learning on computer science and programming because I believe this field is in relation with many other science fields and technologies. Thus, I participated in Iran young scholar club examination and I was selected for the national test. At the same time I got familiar with BTiU (a 3 day campus convention consisting of up to 50 different workshops) which has been held by a group of university students since the summer of 2007 at Shiraz University. Around 300 talented high school students attend the event every summer and its goal is to help them know their skills and potentials, how they can be creative and innovative and how they can work better in teams. In addition to these, they become familiar with university, different study majors, and how to become successful researchers. I feel like I want to do something great for my university, so I decided to become a member of BTiU organizing committee in the future. In the first 2 years of studying in university, I joined the scientific committee of BTiU and then became the quality supervisor, trying to make the university more efficient and fertile. Soon I realized I can do more than just BTiU for the people and the universe. As a result, I started searching for a bigger community and found TedxTehran and the Ted organization. You can read more about this in my ted story. Also, I have a startup experience in Shiraz first startup weekend and stood in the second place. Now I am a member of the Scientific Association of CSE department in my university with many plans in my head which I wish to come into reality.

History of humans include many of the most impressive and instructive experiences. Great success and failure of different people and thoughts. We have inherited all of them. At this state of the world, we need to think about our thought process and learn to think free from assumptions. Let’s make a better world with better ideas ,better way of thinking and better way of education.

I searched for a community which can help me and other people in the world to know and learn new things which we have never thought or talked about . I found TedxTehran and Ted organization. I tried to become a part of that but unfortunately I couldn’t make it in time and the deadline passed. The first ted talk I ever watched was "Do schools kill creativity?". After watching that I felt like "Oh, I know something is wrong with the education system and it is a global problem.". Then, I made up my mind to create new solutions for global problems. In many ways and by getting help from many people.
