About Maria Fe

I am a…

Artist, Musician, Project manager, Student

Bio

I am a student at Hiram Bingham School that loves being on stage, whether acting, speaking or performing and I always seen it as my comfort place. I am passionate about leadership, arts, communication, etc. I am involved in MUN (Model United Nations), especially in the TPA/Press committe and in the organization of our TEDx event. I am also interested in music, history, and forensic science.

I'm passionate about

I am really passionate about music, especially artist like Queen, Green Day and Michael Jackson. Music is much more than something we listen, it can change moods and perspectives. I am also interested in acting and theater. Nevertheless, beyond the arts, I'm fascinated by history, especially World War II.

An idea worth spreading

I believe that everything is temporary-both happiness and sadness- and that is the reason why we should make the most of the moments we have amazing. Life changes constantly, and sometimes, it brings changes that were NEVER expected. We cannot choose what happen to us but we can choose how we repond to them.

The TED story

A few years ago, I had a class proyect of giving a talk in a TEDx-style format. This is why, when I found out that the school was having an official TEDx event, I knew I wanted to be part of it. At one point, I felt like I might lose part of my identity. However, I reminded myself that I am who I am, and that being different is exactly what makes me UNIQUE. That experience taught me that changes do not mean change yourself, it actually help you understand yourself better.

Things you might not know

Probably you didn't know how much I enjoy learning things randomly. I can memorize a dialoge, remember a historical fact or spend hours listening to music just because it transmit me peace and a happy mood. Apparently, I am also the person my friends trust to figure things out when nobody else knows what to do.
