I am a student at Hirambingham School, interested in leadership roles, passion projects, international policymaking and financial management. Through my years of experience in MUN since 2022, I've gained valuable knowledge not only regarding the world around me, but also how to propose with real impact. I began teaching delegates after becoming Secretary General in 2024, along with being part of the leading team in the first-ever Festival of HOPE in Peru and many other student-led initiatives. I have explored various issues that are of international interest, such as women's rights, the complexities of international discourse and the financial and humanitarian impacts of war in vulnerable areas. I'm interested in what happens after the speech: how do we actually make the movement sustainable? I am particularly interested in systemic oppression, particularly how patriarchal structures perpetuate discrimination against women, and the financial operations required to run awareness campaigns and youth initiatives. Lastly, I hope to contribute meaningfully to the women's rights movement while empowering young leaders to transform their ideas into action, giving them the confidence to speak, the knowledge to advocate, and the financial literacy to make their initiatives sustainable.

Women's rights are indispensable, yet they are still constantly debated across the world. There are only 14 out of 195[including Vatican City and the State of Palestine] countries in the world that have achieved full legal equality. No one should decide what a woman can and can't do other than herself. It is inhumane how women in Congo and Sudan are being abused and violated; it is unacceptable that religious extremists force submission onto women, and it is simply unthinkable how women are perceived as mere pretty faces in society with no real worth. Women are leaders, women are strong, women can be whatever they want.

Young people shouldn't have to wait until adulthood to have a voice in decisions that shape their future. It is truly impressive what the youth can create if it weren't blocked by the assumptions and dismissals of the older generation. The one thing we as the youth have that the older generation doesn't is creativity, raw and unfiltered. We have minds full of ideas, bodies full of energy, ready to make change. The future is ours to live; hence, it should be ours to make.
