The TED story
While searching the web for good fodder for my Honours classes, I came across my first TED talk and was immediately smitten. This prompted me to start basically all of my classes with a TALK, preferrably in subjects seemingly completely disconnected from my subject. But these classes became so vibrant, I sought a way to grow the discussion outside the classroom. Last year we organized the first TEDx event at my university. This year we've applied for a a license to include our whole region, and hope to add an event for youth in our community next year. Every day, I meet people who haven't heard of TED. Imagine their surprise when I turn them on to this!
