I am Head of Key Stage 1 and 2 at Gatehouse School, where I lead curriculum development, teaching and learning, and whole-school innovation. With over 15 years’ experience across the UK, USA, and China, I bring a global perspective to education, combining classroom practice with strategic leadership to create environments where both pupils and staff can thrive. I am particularly interested in how schools balance high academic expectations with inclusive, adaptive teaching, ensuring that all pupils can access an ambitious curriculum. My work spans curriculum design, staff development, and exploring how technology and artificial intelligence can support meaningful and relevant learning experiences. Having lived and worked internationally, I have developed a strong appreciation for the importance of community. Finding a sense of belonging - through shared values, relationships, and culture - has been a key part of my own journey, and something I believe is essential for both individuals and organisations to succeed.
