I live in the Washington DC area but grew up in Michigan so I am a midwesterner at heart. I am the mom of two adult children, a daughter-in-law, a grand-pup and soon to be grandma. My motto is just keep moving!i I currently lead Global Government Affairs for Boston Scientific, a medical device manufacturer. My career has included work in the private and public sectors in government affairs and board work having an impact on in a range of issues including health care and medical technology. I had the honor of working in the White House for the Bush Administration as Assistant to Vice President Cheney for Legislative Affairs. In addition, I was confirmed by the United States Senate as the Assistant Secretary for Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs for the United States Department of Commerce. Prior to my role at the Commerce Department, I worked in government affairs at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. A highlight of my career is receiving the prestigious Bryce Harlow Business-Government Relations Award that recognized my exemplary lifelong career in the profession. My Board service includes experience as an Independent Board Member on the Corporate Board of Sight Sciences (SGHT) and on several non-profits such as the Chairperson of the Congressional Institute and MSU Women’s Leadership Institute. I have a growth mindset and have taken many certification programs including the decade game and retreats at the Modern Elder Academy. I just applied to Georgetown’s Executive Leadership Coaching program. I am a Michigan State University alumni - Go green!
