I'm a digital anthropologist, specialising in AI and algorithms in social life. My current research focuses on how people experience intimate relationships — in various forms — with AI. I explore the ideological and cultural underpinnings of such worlds, which delineate new formulations of the self, personhood and kinship. I was previously a Finalist of the BBC New Generation Thinker Award, and regularly speak on radio, television and at festivals about digital culture.

AI isn’t just a technology we use — it’s a cultural mirror that reflects who we are. Rather than replacing our humanity, it makes our values, desires, and ways of relating more visible than ever.

Alongside my academic career, I am also a professional classical soprano, and regularly perform across the UK and Europe with many of the world's leading ensembles.
