Bio

Wildlife biologist, science writer, speaker and television host, engaging all ages in science, the environment, and conservation. Author of "Jaguar Woman" and 33 non-fiction children's books as well as dozens of media articles. Hosted Mission Earth, an Owl Television/Discovery Channel science expedition TV series. Wildlife photography credits include the cover of Equinox Magazine and cover of Reader's Digest. Strong education professional with a PhD from the University of Toronto and 16 years of teaching ecology at the University of Calgary. Skilled in managing nonprofit organizations, community engagement, sustainable communities, wildlife, ecology, and fundraising. Member of the PromoScience/ NSERC Awards for Science Promotion Selection Committee from 2020-2024.
