Takisha Gastile

Dr. Takisha Bolden-Gastile is an educator, researcher, and school founder dedicated to reimagining how students learn. With more than nineteen years of experience across K–12 and higher education, her work focuses on strengthening STEM education, developing educators, and designing learning environments that challenge students to think critically and solve real-world problems. As the Founder and Head of School of HomeSTEM Academy, she leads an innovative virtual STEM school that provides rigorous, structured learning experiences while partnering closely with families to support student growth and curiosity. Throughout her career, Dr. Gastile has worked with teachers, school systems, and preservice educators to improve instructional practice and expand access to high-quality STEM learning. As a TEDx organizer, she is committed to creating spaces where educators, families, students, and community leaders can explore bold ideas about the future of learning and work together to build environments where students can thrive.
