Bio
Hi, I’m Moulishka Sawant a Computer Science student at Temple University with a minor in Digital Marketing, and the Organizer of TEDxTempleUniversity.
I’m deeply interested in the intersection of technology, storytelling, and human connection. I believe ideas don’t just deserve to be heard, they deserve to be experienced. Last year, I had the opportunity to shadow the TEDx curator, where I learned the discipline, structure, and responsibility behind curating powerful conversations. That experience shaped how I view leadership: thoughtful, intentional, and community-driven.
As an organizer, I care about creating spaces where diverse voices feel safe to challenge perspectives, spark curiosity, and move people forward. I’m especially drawn to ideas that sit at the edge of disciplines, where engineering meets creativity, where data meets humanity, and where innovation carries emotional weight.
I’m open to constructive criticism, collaboration, and continuous improvement. TEDx, to me, is not just an event, it’s a platform for responsibility, courage, and meaningful dialogue.
Because the right idea, shared at the right moment, can change everything.
I'm passionate about
Building platforms that amplify meaningful voices.
Exploring how technology shapes human behavior.
Encouraging interdisciplinary thinking.
Creating community through dialogue.
Turning curiosity into impact.
An idea worth spreading
Ideas become powerful when they move beyond information and create transformation. In a world saturated with content, the ideas that matter are the ones that bridge disciplines, challenge assumptions, and create human connection. We don’t need louder voices, we need clearer thinking, deeper conversations, and ideas that inspire responsible action.
The TED story
My TED story began not on stage, but behind the scenes. Shadowing the curator last year allowed me to understand the depth of responsibility behind every talk, the research, the preparation, the alignment with TED’s values. I realized TEDx is not about spotlight, it’s about stewardship.
Stepping into the organizer role this year feels like a natural progression. I’m committed to honoring the integrity of the platform while shaping an experience that reflects our university community. For me, TEDx is about elevating ideas that deserve space, time, and thoughtful listening.
And this is just the beginning.
Things you might not know
Seeing patterns between completely different fields. I enjoy connecting ideas from technology, psychology, culture, and storytelling to create something cohesive and meaningful. I also thrive in high-pressure environments where clarity and calm decision-making matter.
