The TED story
My TEDx Story
My TEDx journey began during my fifth semester at UMT when I realized that our university lacked a platform where students could share ideas, showcase their talents, and engage in meaningful conversations. Instead of waiting for such an opportunity to exist, I decided to create it.
I founded TEDxUMTLahore Society and introduced the TEDx concept at UMT with the vision of providing students a platform to express their ideas and inspire others. As the Founder and President of the society, I worked towards building a community that values innovation, curiosity, and impactful dialogue.
When I decided to apply for a TEDx license, many people viewed the goal as ambitious and difficult. However, I believed that no challenge is impossible until it is attempted. My confidence in the vision and my commitment to the process kept me moving forward, and eventually, the TEDx license was approved.
Today, I have the privilege of bringing TEDx to UMT and making this vision a reality. This milestone is not only a personal achievement but also a testament to the power of believing in an idea when others may not yet see its potential. I am proud to be the Founder and President of TEDxUMTLahore Society and the first female TEDx organizer in UMT’s history, paving the way for future student leaders to dream bigger and create meaningful impact.
