About Areeba

I am a…

Business adviser, Engineer, Student

Bio

I am a student at Beaconhouse International College Lahore enrolled in software engineering LJMU with a strong interest in global issues, youth leadership, and problem-solving through dialogue and action. Alongside academics, I worked as a BDM in PNY and did an internship of development from foreign tech. I have also volunteered in fund raising events etc. I enjoy working at the intersection of ideas and real-world impact, especially when it comes to empowering young voices and turning challenges into opportunities.

I'm passionate about

I have a strong interest in technology, coding, and web development, and I enjoy using these skills to turn ideas into practical digital solutions. As a web developer and engineering student, I have worked on projects that required not only technical knowledge but also the ability to collaborate with different groups to execute tasks under close and demanding deadlines. These experiences have helped me develop problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a strong sense of responsibility when working in fast-paced environments. Through teamwork in academic projects, volunteering, and internships, I have learned how effective communication and coordination are just as important as clean and efficient code. Alongside technology, I am passionate about sports, particularly badminton, which has taught me discipline, focus, and consistency. Balancing technical work with sports has strengthened my time-management skills and resilience. I believe that combining technical expertise, teamwork, and a disciplined mindset allows me to contribute meaningfully to both professional and collaborative environments.

An idea worth spreading

In a world full of ideas, real change happens when technology is applied with purpose. As a web developer and engineering student, I’ve learned that code is not just about building websites, but about solving real problems efficiently. Through volunteering and internships, I’ve seen how simple, well-designed digital systems can improve communication, save time, and create access for people who otherwise get left out. The future doesn’t need more complex technology ,it needs engineers who understand people, work in teams, and build practical solutions that actually get used. When technology meets empathy and execution, small projects can create meaningful impact.

The TED story

I have always been a keen admirer of Ted overall and always wanted to be a part of Ted team which organizes Ted event. A ted talk by Tristan Harris on Ai risks inspired me a lot as it defined how ai is detrimental and beneficial both at the same time. Through these talks I was keen to bring change, be a part of Ted and eventually bring change by organizing events, penetrating a message of empowerment amongst the audience.
