Financial markets educator and trader with over 30 years’ experience. Co-founder of CLiK Trading Education, focused on structured learning, risk management, and decision-making under pressure. My interests sit at the intersection of education, psychology, and technology — particularly how people learn complex skills, how bias shapes outcomes, and how emerging tools like AI and immersive learning can improve access to high-quality education. I’m drawn to ideas that challenge assumptions and translate clearly into real-world impact.

I’m passionate about health and wellbeing, sport, and coaching — particularly how discipline, routine, and mindset shape long-term performance. I’m equally passionate about trading the financial markets, not as a shortcut to wealth, but as a framework for understanding risk, decision-making, and personal responsibility. Across all of these, what really drives me is helping people perform better under pressure, make clearer decisions, and build sustainable habits — whether that’s in sport, life, or the markets.

Digital inequality is no longer just about access to devices or the internet — it’s about access to understanding. Globally, millions of people are connected, yet remain financially illiterate, excluded from the systems that shape their lives. My idea is that AI and virtual reality can close this gap by delivering personalised, experiential financial education at scale, regardless of geography, income, or traditional educational infrastructure. AI can adapt learning to culture, language, and individual behaviour, while virtual reality allows people to experience financial decisions and consequences safely, without real-world risk. In a world where inequality is widening, bridging the gap between access and understanding may be one of the most practical ways to reduce long-term economic disparity.

I’ve been a long-time TED follower and member, drawn to ideas that sit at the intersection of learning, human behaviour, and real-world impact. TED has shaped how I think about education — not as information transfer, but as experience, perspective, and responsibility. My involvement has evolved from listening and learning to contributing locally through TEDx Doncaster, supporting ideas and conversations that challenge assumptions and broaden access to knowledge. I value TED as a space where curiosity is encouraged, complexity is respected, and ideas are meant to be applied - not just admired.

I came to hands-on property development as a complete novice, having spent most of my working life behind a desk. My practical skillset at the time peaked at assembling flat-pack furniture… badly. With no formal training, I taught myself how to use tools through online learning — mostly YouTube — and a fair amount of trial, error, and bruised ego. What started as necessity turned into a crash course in self-directed learning. It reinforced a simple lesson: with access to the right information and the willingness to look foolish at first, people can learn far more than they think — at any stage of life.
