About Tao
Bio
I used to be a futurist, but then the present caught up with me.
Now I try to invent the future I failed to foresee — finding novel applications and new meaning for technology culture hasn’t found a role for yet.
Like decoupling personal expression from ecological impact through virtual fashion. Mobilising 70,000 volunteers to back up Ukraine’s cultural heritage with their phones. Or reshaping the flags that soccer fans draw on their faces to help them evade facial recognition.

My work has been featured in 1000+ articles and I've recieved over 160 awards and 10 Grands Prix in global competitions.

Past lives include a Masters in Digital Sociology, Futurist Researcher, fronting a 11-man Dancehall Ensemble, Vegan Chef in an Anarko–Cooperative, Econ Dropout, Gray Economy Bookkeeper and a stint as a Desert Monk.
An idea worth spreading
Taste is table stakes. Intent & Imagination are the real differentiators.
Things you might not know
Sociology. Most of what looks like creative instinct is just pattern recognition: Reading how power, identity, and behaviour shift when a new medium arrives. The advertising is almost incidental.
