After graduating from New College, Oxford in 1984 with an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, I started my advertising career in London, working at Saatchi and Saatchi. From 1987 until 1991, I left to work for two highly acclaimed creative agencies, before being lured back to Saatchi and Saatchi at the beginning of 1992 as Regional Business Director for Asia, based in Singapore. I was one of the founding partners of M&C Saatchi Singapore, joining as Director of Strategic Planning in March 1996. I moved to Los Angeles in 2003 to help establish the M&C Saatchi office there. I have worked on a number of high profile accounts over my 25 year career, including Coca-Cola, BMW, Ketel One, Mars Inc and Procter & Gamble. I am the co-curator of TEDxSantaMonica.

I attended TEDActive2011 and had my mind blown. I met Felicia Kamriani who also lives in Santa Monica late one night on a wild jeep ride in the desert, and we decided to apply for the TEDxSantaMonica licence. Since then, we have put on 9 TEDx events, including a TEDxCity2_0 event, and two large TEDxYouth events.
