I'm passionate about

Listening and learning from people different from me. Struggling to figure out my identity as a White Gay man and how my whiteness impacts all of us. Empowering young people to find their voice and identity. Learning everyday how to do better teaching other peoples' children.

Is it time for students and teachers to create content for new understandings? How much of what we know is dictated by publishers? Why consider a balance of creating and consuming in schools? Let's ask tough questions, lean into our true history and take concrete action to move our community, country and humanism forward.

The TED story

I started my second career as a teacher knowing I was in the right place. However, TED took me from 0 to 100 in just a few talks. I completely reevaluated and reimagined the why behind the how I taught.
