He worked as an art teacher between 2005-2020. He also prepared and coordinated national and international projects for various NGOs and schools. He is interested in identifying social problems and working to minimise them, especially through art. He is one of the founders of the Netherlands-based ASEA foundation. He worked as an Education Project Manager at the ASEA Foundation. In 2022, Umut HALLAC founded ADSO in France and is the President of this organisation. In recent years, HALLAC has focussed on social entrepreneurship education in Paris.

I'm passionate about decoding the human experience through the lenses of art and psychology, and using that understanding to foster cultural exchange and empower youth globally.

My TED story is deeply intertwined with my work decoding the human experience. Whether I am analyzing the psychopathology behind a historical masterpiece, writing literary fiction, or building international bridges for my students, I've learned one universal truth: true transformation always requires digging into the roots. I wanted to bring the TEDx stage to Denizli to show that understanding our psychological and cultural foundations is the key to global resonance. Through 'Transformation: From Roots to Future,' we explored how examining where we come from is the most powerful catalyst for designing a more empathetic and connected tomorrow.

1. Literary Fiction and Novel Writing: Many people may know you as an educator or psychologist. However, your online presence reveals that you are an author who produces substantial literary works. Books such as “Winter in Shiraz,” which you began writing in Vancouver and completed in Rotterdam, and “Autumn in Shiraz,” which you finished in 2020, demonstrate your literary talent for constructing fiction on an international scale. 2. Psycho-Art and In-Depth Character Analysis: You don’t just create art; you also decode the mental processes of artists and literary figures with academic rigor. Academic papers such as “The Influence of Psychopathology on Vincent van Gogh’s Works” and “Pathological Elements Created by the Father Figure in Franz Kafka” reflect your expertise in analyzing complex minds by blending psychology with art history and literature. 3. International Social Entrepreneurship and Project Architecture: While your work in school settings is well-known, the leadership roles you’ve held in organizations like the France-based Association D’entrepreneuriat Social and your mobility across different countries (Canada, the Netherlands, France) position you not merely as a local educator but as a social entrepreneurship strategist with an international vision. In short: People may be familiar with your professional titles, but they may not realize that I am a multifaceted “analyst and writer” who pens transcontinental literary fiction, conducts in-depth academic analyses in the field of psycho-art, and designs strategies on a global scale.
