Bio
Julie M. Wenah is a digital civil rights lawyer, tech executive, and filmmaker. She serves as Chairwoman of the Digital Civil Rights Coalition, a global community shaping a more just digital ecosystem. At Meta, she created Project Height, a proactive equity framework for inclusive product development, and led civil rights efforts for the company's Race Data Measurement initiative. At Airbnb, she launched Project Lighthouse, an award-winning framework addressing racial disparities. Julie served in the Obama Administration at the Department of Commerce, the White House, and the Office of First Lady Michelle Obama, and began her career as a Legal Fellow at NASA. She is also the founder of The Album & The Mixtape, a creative collective dedicated to storytelling through lyrics and prose.
