Bio
I was an entrepreneur multiple times, then decided to embark on the endeavor of buying businesses that were already profitable. I stopped doing that several years ago and have turned to other projects. I was doing some political volunteering. I also wrote two books recently: a biography of Albert Kner (1899-1976), a Hungarian artist for struggled for years, constantly pivoting, until, facing fascism, he emigrated to Chicago in 1940. Under the American system he pioneered the modern consumer packaging industry. It's a study of the play between one’s human potential and one’s environment. Previously, I translated a 1920 Hungarian bestseller about how to interpret dreams.
I serve on two for-profit boards, one public and one private. I am a trustee of the Kner Museum, a Tiger 21 member, and a guest lecturer at the Budapest Business School. Formerly, I was an Overseer at Boston College Law School, a member of the National Finance Committee for the Biden and then Harris campaigns, board member of BetterInvesting, and a Presidential Partner in the Obama Administration. I live in Austin, Texas with my wife of 34 years, and part time in London. We have a daughter, 25, who supports political asylees at Human Rights First.
I received my BA from Harvard College and MBA from Harvard Business School.
