Bio

I was born and raised in Taoyuan, Taiwan—a city defined by the dynamic intersection of deep-rooted tradition and rapid technological innovation. Growing up in this vibrant landscape instilled in me a unique lens: to observe with curiosity, listen with empathy, and amplify the quietest but most profound voices in our community. To me, TEDx is far more than a stage; it is a catalyst for transformative dialogue and collective imagination. With over a decade of experience spanning creative industries, strategic branding, and youth advocacy, I have developed a keen instinct for narrative architecture. Whether moderating student forums or curating dialogue programs for civic organizations, I’ve learned that a truly powerful talk requires more than just compelling content—it demands meticulous curation, cultural sensitivity, and the vision to weave diverse perspectives into a cohesive, meaningful story. As a resident of Taoyuan, I am inspired daily by its identity as a young, fast-growing gateway city. Its rich tapestry of ethnic and linguistic communities represents a micro-cosmos of Taiwan’s future. My mission as a TEDx curator is to build a high-impact platform where the "Factory Alchemist" of our industrial zones and the young visionaries of our tech startups can share the same red dot. I want to help local youth rediscover their agency through storytelling and introduce Taoyuan’s unique intellectual capital to the global stage. I don’t seek easy answers; I am committed to asking the better questions. This reflects my core belief in the TEDx spirit: creating a dedicated space for critical thinking, radical empathy, and shared curiosity. I am ready to lead a TEDx community that is both intellectually rigorous and radically inclusive—a stage where generations, professions, and beliefs converge to explore "ideas worth spreading."

I'm passionate about

I am driven by the art of uncovering hidden connections and utilizing creativity to bring them into the light. My passion lies at the intersection of human behavior, cultural nuances, and the subtle mechanics of social change. I possess a natural sensitivity to the unspoken dynamics of our environment. Whether observing the quiet interactions in a local gathering space or the strategic patience on a golf course, I am constantly decoding the silent details that reveal deeper human truths. To me, these are not just observations; they are the raw materials for meaningful dialogue. What truly fuels me is the creation of platforms where genuine understanding can flourish. Whether I am curating an immersive sensory experience or crafting a narrative, my goal is always the same: to design moments that invite people from disparate backgrounds to step out of their silos and into a shared conversation. I believe that transformative change rarely begins with grand gestures; it starts with the "micro-shifts" that occur when we choose to pause, listen, and view the world through a different lens. I am not interested in the mere transmission of information, but in the profound exchange of meaning. My mission is to empower individuals to articulate their unique versions of the world, ensuring they know that, on the TEDx stage, someone is truly listening.

An idea worth spreading

We live in an era of amplified noise—a relentless storm of content, opinions, and competing narratives. In this environment, we often mistake volume for substance, allowing the most profound insights to be drowned out simply because they are quiet. I believe it is time to flip the script: Deep Listening is an idea worth spreading. Real listening is not merely a pause in conversation; it is an active, radical act of empathy. It requires us to dismantle our assumptions and inhabit another’s reality with unfiltered curiosity. This form of listening is the bedrock of cultural healing, the catalyst for social innovation, and the only enduring bridge across our current divides. When we intentionally tune into the "unheard," we discover hidden dimensions of our collective existence: the rhythmic wisdom of a street cleaner’s routine, the nuanced longing in a migrant worker’s journey, or the urgent, unasked questions in a teenager’s silence. These are not marginal voices—they are essential threads in the fabric of Taoyuan and the world. They don't need us to speak for them; they need a platform that dignifies their truth. As a TEDx curator, my mission is to move beyond the mere transmission of knowledge toward the creation of genuine resonance. I envision a TEDx stage where the value of a talk isn't measured by the applause it receives, but by the reflective silence it inspires. I want our audience to leave not just with new information, but with a renewed capacity to listen more deeply to the world around them. The world has no shortage of people eager to speak. What we truly need are spaces designed for those willing to listen.

The TED story

My journey with TED began over a decade ago with Sir Ken Robinson’s iconic talk on creativity. As I sat in a quiet café, I realized that ideas are the most powerful catalysts for change; they don't just inform, they transform. Since then, TED has been my sanctuary for curiosity and a compass during times of transition. Through my consistent involvement with TEDxNeihu—moving from an inspired attendee in 2020 to a dedicated volunteer in recent years—I have gained a deep appreciation for the "Red Dot." I’ve seen firsthand that a successful TEDx event is not just about logistics; it is about creating a safe, honest space where diverse voices—from seasoned professionals to young dreamers—can bridge the gap between "me" and "us." My time as a volunteer taught me that the magic lies in those "I thought I was the only one" moments that foster true community belonging. I am applying for TEDxTaoyuan because I believe this city is a reservoir of untold stories and untapped wisdom. My goal is to transition from a contributor to a curator, utilizing my experience in community building to amplify voices that are often overlooked. I want to build a platform in Taoyuan where honesty is celebrated and where a single talk can spark a ripple effect of inspiration across our entire community. I am ready to dedicate my energy to finding and spreading the ideas that will define our future.

Things you might not know

I may not be the loudest voice in a room, but I possess a distinct ability to navigate the unspoken layers of a conversation, guiding individuals to articulate truths they rarely share. It is a subtle craft—knowing exactly when to pose a piercing question, when to hold a purposeful silence, or how to shift the atmosphere, perhaps through a shared sensory experience, to allow someone’s guard to naturally lower. This isn’t a rehearsed technique; it is a profound sensitivity to the energy between people. I can sense the hesitation behind a carefully chosen word or the flicker of emotion in a brief glance. My role is to offer a "quiet sanctuary" that silently signals: It is safe to be authentic here. This skill may not be flashy, but its impact is foundational. In the context of TEDx, this is how we uncover the core of a story. I believe that one honest, unfiltered conversation can recalibrate a person’s direction, and a single sentence of shared truth can remind us that the world still holds immense capacity for kindness and connection.
