An idea worth spreading
My idea worth spreading is that expression heals what pressure hides. When people are given a voice—through conversation, art, or mentorship—they find strength they never knew they had.
The TED story
My story begins with a quiet observation I made many years ago. As a young girl, I was always drawn to voices—voices in music, voices in theatre, and voices in conversations that revealed what people truly felt. I noticed something very early in life: many people carry stories inside them that they never say out loud.
As I grew older, I became a vocalist, a theatre enthusiast, and eventually an educator. In each of these spaces, I saw the same pattern—people performing roles, meeting expectations, and quietly carrying pressures that others could not see.
In the classroom, on stage, and in everyday life, I began to understand that expression is powerful. When people are given the space to speak, sing, act, or simply be heard, something changes. Confidence grows, fear softens, and hidden strength begins to appear.
My journey has shown me that expression is not just art—it is healing. Through mentorship, creativity, and human connection, we can help people transform silent pressure into courage.
And that is the idea that continues to shape my work and my voice.
