I'm passionate about

I’m passionate about amplifying Kashmiri voices and connecting them to global platforms where their ideas can inspire change. My work lies at the intersection of youth empowerment, media, and social innovation, creating opportunities for young people to be heard, recognized, and celebrated. I believe that when local perspectives are given a global stage, they have the power to shape conversations, spark solutions, and build a more inclusive world.

An idea worth spreading

Every region has stories, ideas, and perspectives that deserve to be heard. Kashmir, often celebrated for its beauty and culture, is also home to a generation of young thinkers, innovators, and changemakers whose voices remain underrepresented on the global stage. By creating platforms that connect Kashmir to the world, we can amplify these voices and highlight their power to inspire change far beyond the Valley. This idea is about more than representation — it is about inclusion, diversity, and the recognition that solutions to global challenges can come from anywhere. When Kashmiri voices are empowered to join international conversations, they not only share their unique perspectives but also contribute to the global tapestry of progress, innovation, and peace. Through initiatives like youth leadership, media, and platforms such as TEDxDalLake, Kashmir can be positioned as a hub of fresh thinking and universal ideas. Empowering these voices ensures that the world does not just see Kashmir — it hears it, learns from it, and grows with it.

The TED story

My TED story begins with a simple belief: Kashmiri voices deserve a global stage. Growing up in the Valley, I saw incredible stories of resilience, innovation, and creativity that rarely reached beyond local boundaries. I realized that the world was missing out on perspectives that could inspire not only Kashmir but also global communities. Organizing and contributing to TEDx events in Kashmir gave me the chance to transform that belief into action. I witnessed how one idea shared on stage could ripple across borders and connect people who might never have met otherwise. It showed me the power of storytelling and the importance of creating platforms where diverse voices can be celebrated. My TED story is about carrying Kashmir into these global conversations — weaving its voices into the larger fabric of “ideas worth spreading.” For me, TEDx is not just an event; it’s a bridge between local wisdom and international dialogue, and I am committed to making that bridge stronger.
