The 'My TED Story' section of the profile is something I am very keenly holding onto! I wrote the part when I organized my very first TEDx event, TEDxYouth@QMSSaltLake, back in the year 2016. I so want to correct the grammatical errors and update the tenses in that paragraph but I think that it is okay to leave it untouched- for it is a reminder to always be proud of the 17-year-old, naive and enthusiastic Arya who has come a long way and still has a lot more to go :D

The idea of organizing a TEDx event was not just triggered by a single incident. There were a couple of occasions which have instilled the thought of organizing an esteemed event like TEDx. My elder brother is an alumnus of BITS Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus, the institution which holds its pride in being the oldest TEDx License holder of India. It was he who introduced me to TED Talks on Youtube. As days passed by, I got familiar with the TED(and TEDx) format, due to which I always wanted to attend this event. Despite the fact that i never got a chance to attend a TEDx event, I decided to organize one. Being in the senior most year of my high school, I believed that it was the right time and opportunity to organize a TEDx event; more like a heartfelt tribute that I'd like to my pay to my beloved school. No school in Kolkata had organized a TEDxYouth event till date(maybe because TEDxYouth is an entirely new concept) and nothing could have been better than hosting an event which showcases ideas worth spreading.
