Bio
Hi, I’m Jessica Liu, a Grade 11 student at Collingwood School in Vancouver, BC, with a deep passion for psychology, social impact, and youth-driven innovation. My work is rooted in the belief that meaningful change begins with empathy, and I aim to create spaces, both in my community and on stage, where difficult conversations around mental health, identity, and purpose can happen authentically.
I’ve had the opportunity to lead and contribute to a range of initiatives, including organizing wellness-focused events, mentoring younger students as a competitive swim team co-captain, and developing community-based proposals that intersect sustainability and emotional well-being. Academically, I’ve pursued advanced studies in multiple subjects and research through the University of Chicago and the AP Capstone program, which have sharpened my ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and design with impact in mind.
Whether I’m building a campaign, speaking at an event, or brainstorming models, I bring together creativity, discipline, and compassion. TEDx gives me the chance to share not just what I’ve learned, but what I believe we can build when we listen deeply and lead with intention.
