The TED story
For years, TED served as a constant mentor, offering lessons, inspiration, and support, yet I never envisioned myself on the TED stage; I simply felt I wasn't "enough." This perspective shifted dramatically when the organizers of TEDxVerinAntarainStWomen extended an invitation. They recognized a theme woven through my actions: building a venture capital fund with deliberate transparency, advocating for trustful relationships, and actively mentoring women in the tech industry.
Their invitation was validating because it mirrored my deeply held conviction: trust yields the most significant benefits in life. This belief feels particularly urgent now, in an age marked by widespread trust issues fueled by advancements in AI and increasing global polarization. Accepting their invitation stems from this core belief – the story they saw in my work is one about the practical power and necessity of trust. My TED story, therefore, isn't one of long-held ambition to speak, but rather an acceptance of an opportunity to share an "idea worth spreading" that I've seen validated through my work: that fostering trust, even in demanding arenas like VC, is not just beneficial, but essential for navigating our complex world.
