Bio
I am a medical student, researcher, and human rights activist.
I'm passionate about
I am deeply passionate about social action, helping my community, and transforming people's lives beyond the walls of clinics and hospitals. My greatest goal is to show those around me that helping others does not require a lot — not much time, money, or donations. What is truly needed is simply the will to help, serve, and listen.
An idea worth spreading
Life is Worth It
The TED story
As a passionate admirer of the TED platform, it is difficult for me to choose just one talk. However, the TED Talk that has had the most profound and lasting impact on my life is "Death is a Day Worth Living" by Dr. Ana Claudia Quintana Arantes. In her talk, Dr. Ana Claudia shares her early struggles in the field of medicine and how she reinvented herself, pioneering an area of care in Brazil that was virtually nonexistent at the time.
I am currently a fourth-year medical student, and at the beginning of my studies, I often felt frustrated and disheartened, as the reality of medical practice and the academic environment clashed with my initial expectations and ideals. Listening to Dr. Ana Claudia’s TED Talk was a turning point for me — it reconnected me with my purpose, reignited my passion for medicine, and profoundly reshaped my outlook on life.
Inspired by her message, I have since decided to follow in her footsteps and specialize in Geriatrics and Palliative Care. There is not a single day that goes by without me thinking about that talk and the way it transformed my life and reaffirmed my vocation.
