Connecting the Classroom, the Canvas, and the Compass Hello, I'm Chogyal Bhutia, and my professional life at VidyaGyan School is a blend of education, creativity, and service. As a Social Science educator, I love guiding students to understand the world around them. But my contribution doesn't stop at the syllabus. I also get to shape the school's narrative through graphic design, crafting the print and digital content that tells our stories of purpose, transformation, and student success. Since 2019, I’ve taken on a deeply rewarding role as the North East Students Coordinator. This isn't just an administrative job; it's about being a bridge. I facilitate smooth admissions and work closely with selected students and their families from North East India, making sure they feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout their transition to VidyaGyan. The Open Road: My Classroom of Resilience The moment I leave campus, I switch gears, literally. I'm a passionate solo traveler and biker. My 150cc Suzuki Gixxer SF is more than just a bike; it's a reflection of curiosity and freedom. I've explored India's incredible diversity, from the misty hills of Mussoorie and the spiritual quiet of Bodh Gaya to the heart of Dudhwa and the high altitudes of Uttarakhand. Each ride reinforces my belief in resilience and the sheer joy of the open road. Service Beyond the Self My commitment to service extends off the road as well. Since 2014, I've been honored to volunteer at the Ngadak TSDC Monastery in Namchi District, Sikkim. I contribute my creative skills by designing scriptures, calendars, and invites, and drafting official documents. It's a humbling way to blend my design passion with cultural and spiritual work. Ultimately, my journey blends education, service, creativity, and the open road with a core belief: profound impact happens when we connect people, ideas, and purpose across all distances.

Like many, I remember being a kid watching TED Talks, completely mesmerized. The ideas, the clarity, the sheer power of the speakers on that red circle made me go awe. Honestly, I never thought I would one day be working alongside some brilliant minds in that very same ecosystem. My journey with the TED stage actually began not as a speaker, but as an invisible hand, a content producer and behind the scenes cheerleader. It all started in 2018. Our school was launching its very first TEDEd Students Talk, and the air was thick with student energy and ideas. I jumped in to help, translating those brilliant concepts into visuals. My role was to produce the content for marketing and promotion, ensuring these nascent student voices got the platform and attention they deserved. It was incredibly rewarding to watch their powerful talks take off and mark a major success for our school community. But the story did not end there. Fast forward to 2025, and I was back at it, this time assisting with our students’ official TEDx Talks. It was a massive leap from the TEDEd Club a more formal stage requiring higher stakes production, editing, and promotion. Once again, I had the privilege of supporting those bright young minds, helping their messages resonate and their stories shine for a global audience. This entire process watching ideas transform into inspiring talks, seeing students find their voice, and being the one who helps frame that story taught me everything about the power of connection and narrative. It was in the process of amplifying their purpose that I truly understood the framework of powerful storytelling.

People don’t know I’m good at switching hats: teaching a class in the morning, designing an entire campaign by afternoon, and helping families navigate a new world in between. I’m also good at noticing what others miss, like small moments, quiet needs, and the things that often go unsaid.
