About Jeff
Bio
Growing up in a small town in upstate NY, the film industry seemed impossibly far away. Inspired by magazines like cinefx, Jeff studied film, photography and computer art. Jeff got his start at Will Vinton studios, now known as as Laika Studios. It was a wonderful environment with an eclectic blend of Stop Motion and CG artists.
In 2002 Jeff started at Industrial Light and Magic as a Character TD. His primary role was to add armatures to digital models to facilitate animation and run various physical simulations to bring the characters to life. Jeff went on to earn a Scientific and Technical Academy Award for character rigging software he co-developed. Jeff would go on to become a Visual Effects Supervisor with Academy Award nominations for The Avengers and Kong: Skull Island. Most recently Jeff won a Children and Family Emmy for Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
Outside of work, Jeff volunteers as the team photographer for the Bowen Island Football Club.
