About Esperanza
I am a…
Consultant, Environmentalist, Project manager
Bio
Born in Burgos in 1969, professionally I have had a long journey from secretary to director of a foundation serving people with disabilities, I have "tasted" all areas of a company during almost 30 years of working life. Personally married and mother of a daughter. Feminist by conviction.
Social activist, aware that companies can be drivers of change in inequalities and that there are many possibilities for improvement, two years ago I founded a company dedicated to Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability. I always say that fighting inequalities should be something that occupies everyone at least a part of their existence.
I'm passionate about
I am passionate about immersing myself in the pages of a good book, letting each story or piece of knowledge expand my view of the world. Classical music is my refuge, an endless source of emotions that transports me to different times and places. Traveling is my way of discovering new cultures, learning from every corner of the planet, and filling my life with unforgettable experiences. The sea gives me peace; its vastness and rhythm remind me of the beauty in both simplicity and grandeur. And animals, with their authenticity and kindness, awaken a special connection within me to nature.
An idea worth spreading
“The Magic of Discomfort" – Why Stepping Out of Our Comfort Zone Is the Key to Innovation and Personal Growth.
The TED story
My TEDx journey began more than 11 years ago with the launch of TEDxPlaça del Fòrum, the precursor to TEDxTarragona. Since then, I have witnessed how ideas can transform people and create a meaningful impact on the community. It has been a journey of learning, growth, and great challenges, where I have discovered the power of discomfort as a driver of innovation and personal development.
Things you might not know
I am good at mentoring, even though people don’t know it. I enjoy guiding, listening, and helping others find their own path by offering support and perspective. I love seeing people grow, overcome their fears, and discover their potential. Even if they don’t always realize it, I know that my ability to motivate and guide can make a difference in their lives.
