Bio
I’m Dr. Ragini Dhakriya an M.D. in Psychiatry, a passionate homeopath, an academician, and now stepping into an exhilarating new role as a TEDx Licensee and Organizer.
With a heart rooted in healing and a mind drawn toward ideas that spark transformation, I’m curating my first-ever TEDxKIRC event under the globally recognized TED banner. This new journey is a reflection of my belief that stories, when shared with honesty and courage, have the power to shape lives and societies.
As someone who works daily to nurture emotional well-being and teach future medical professionals, I’ve always sought platforms that go beyond conventional methods, platforms that connect deeply, speak openly, and ignite action. TEDx is that platform for me. While the event is in its planning stages, the mission is already clear: to gather voices that challenge the norm, heal with empathy, and inspire with truth.
I’m building this experience from the ground up bringing together a passionate team, ideating themes that matter, and preparing to amplify voices that deserve to be heard. Organizing a TEDx event isn’t just a task; it’s a calling that merges my love for human connection, emotional depth, and innovative expression.
Whether I’m in the classroom, a clinic, or now behind the scenes of TEDx, my purpose remains constant: to heal, empower, and evolve.
I'm passionate about
Crafting conversations that heal, inspire, and ignite change. Whether it’s through homeopathy, mental health advocacy, or storytelling, they thrive where science meets soul.
An idea worth spreading
Real healing begins with listening with ears, eyes, and heart wide open. Every voice holds wisdom, and when we amplify stories with purpose, we don't just inform; we transform.
The TED story
As someone who heals people, I’ve always found my work to be more than just a job, it’s my way of bringing calm into the chaos, not only for others but for myself as well. Every day, I dive into my routine with dedication, using my healing skills as a refuge, a purpose that keeps me grounded.
Then one day, my management gave me a task that at first seemed simple but soon turned into a journey I never expected: "Find out what TEDx is, how it works, and everything about it."
At first, I felt a mix of curiosity and pressure. This was new territory, a challenge beyond my usual healing work. But there was one thing I knew about myself, I never give up until I crack the code. So, with relentless determination, I started from scratch. I researched endlessly, learned every detail, every rule, and every procedure involved.
Within a month, all that effort culminated in applying for the TEDx license, and to my surprise and joy, we got it on the very first try.
What started as a task slowly became something much bigger. I didn’t just learn about TEDx; I fell in love with it. Organizing, planning, and understanding the spirit behind TEDx each day brought new lessons and an unexpected thrill.
I found myself losing sleep, not out of stress, but because I was driven by a new kind of adrenaline the excitement of bringing ideas to life, of creating a platform where voices can inspire and transform.
Little did I know, TEDx wasn’t just another project. It became a part of me, a part that challenges me, fuels my passion, and deepens my purpose. It’s a reminder that healing isn’t just about soothing wounds; it’s about growth, resilience, and embracing new paths even when they come disguised as unfamiliar tasks.
This journey taught me that sometimes, the unexpected challenges we face are the very doors that lead us to discover who we really are.
