I moved halfway across the country for college. Why?
It's because Saint Michael’s College encourages students to chase their dreams. At first, I took that to mean in my athletic life, being a varsity athlete in Cross Country and Nordic Skiing; in my artistic life, continuing my love of violin in the orchestra; and exploring academic fields at a liberal arts institution.
What I found was more.
The staff and faculty at the college pushed me to apply for, and eventually complete, a summer research grant. As I enter the last two years of my academic career, I have realized the need to give back to my community.
What I do is plan trips, from Maine to Peru, and events. My talent lies in the execution of carefully laid out plans. I currently serve as the Open House and Yield Events Coordinator for the Founder’s Society; every student, current or prospective, are affected by the events I orchestrate.
