Abdullrahman Haykal Ba-Sabaa

I am Abdullrahman Haykal Abubaker Ba-sabaa,The General Coordinator and Public Relations Team Leader for TEDxSealineRd. In this role, I work closely with the event organizer to ensure smooth coordination and seamless operations for our annual TEDx event. My primary responsibilities include securing sponsorships, liaising with companies and financial institutions, coordinating team training sessions, assisting in the selection of speakers, and providing strategic guidance to ensure a successful and impactful event. In addition to my role at TEDx, I have been actively involved in various youth empowerment and community-building initiatives. I have contributed to organizations such as the Youth Rehabilitation and Training Center and Yemen Red Crescent, where I provided volunteer medical assistance and supported various development programs. As a Program Coordinator for the US Embassy Exchange Program and Amideast's Exchange Program, I played a pivotal role in organizing and managing the participation of local youth in international exchange opportunities. These programs have provided me with invaluable international exposure and strengthened my ability to work in multicultural environments. I have gained a deeper understanding of global issues, leadership, and cross-cultural communication, which has been instrumental in my professional and personal growth. I also coordinated Qisasna, a cultural program aimed at fostering understanding and collaboration between American and Yemeni students. This experience further enhanced my passion for cross-cultural exchange and community engagement. My professional journey has been focused on connecting people, fostering innovation, and making a positive impact in my community. I am excited to continue contributing to TEDxSealineRd and other global platforms, helping bring innovative ideas and diverse voices to the forefront.

I'm passionate about empowering youth, fostering cross-cultural understanding, and creating platforms for meaningful dialogue. I believe in the power of collaboration and connection to bring about positive change, whether through events like TEDx, cultural exchanges, or community-driven initiatives. My goal is to help individuals discover their potential, inspire innovation, and bridge divides to build a more inclusive and informed world.

I believe that fostering understanding and dialogue between different cultures is one of the most powerful tools for creating a better world. By empowering youth to engage in global conversations and exchange ideas, we can break down barriers, build bridges, and drive meaningful change. My mission is to create platforms where innovative ideas can flourish, and where people, regardless of their background, can come together to inspire and learn from one another.

My TED story began when I first experienced the power of ideas worth spreading through TEDxSealineRd. I was inspired by the incredible speakers, diverse perspectives, and the energy of a community that was committed to making a difference. This experience ignited my passion for fostering meaningful conversations and bringing people together to exchange ideas. I took on the role of General Coordinator and Public Relations Team Leader, and through this, I’ve been able to contribute to organizing impactful events and connecting people from different walks of life. TED is more than just a platform; it’s a movement that fuels innovation, collaboration, and change. As part of the TEDx team, I’ve been able to help create spaces where individuals can share their ideas and inspire others to take action. TED continues to be a source of inspiration and motivation for me, reminding me that every great change starts with an idea.

People don't know I'm good at thinking outside the box to solve complex problems, building strong relationships across diverse communities, and providing strategic advice that helps organizations grow. I also have a knack for organizing large-scale events and creating a cohesive vision that brings people together, even in the most challenging environments.
