About Amina

Bio

Amina is a Pediatric Audiologist that specialises in assessing children with complex needs. She has spent the last three years working in the NHS assessing and providing auditory rehabilitation for children in East London, and most recently at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. She is now the regional sales manager for Unitron UK, a manufacturer dedicated to enhancing everyday listening through providing tailored hearing solutions. Amina also serves on the projects committee of SoundSeekers, a U.K. Charity focused on improving access to communication and education for those living with hearing impairment in Sub-Saharan Africa. She acts as an audiology advisor for SoundSeekers projects in The Gambia, Cameroon and Zambia & has ran training courses in collaboration with the WHO focused on promoting the importance of Primary Ear and Hearing Care in NW Cameroon. Since 2015, Amina has been the co-curator of TEDxEuston, an event focused on African ideas worth spreading and providing a forum for the diaspora to engage responsibly with the continent. She has been a member of the TEDxEuston organizing team for 6 years securing and managing partnerships.
