Bio

Hi, I’m Rameesha Fatima, a law student and the Vice President of the Executive Council at Beaconhouse International College. My journey has been a mix of curiosity, leadership, and creating impact wherever I go. From working with the Pakistan Cricket Board as a legal intern to mentoring students as an Access Instructor with CARE Foundation, I’ve always found myself drawn to opportunities that combine collaboration with purpose. Whether it’s organizing events like Venturvation 1.0 during my time as President of the Entrepreneur Club or participating in debates and drama society productions, I thrive in spaces where ideas are exchanged and people feel inspired to think differently. For me, it’s all about using the power of connection and dialogue to make a difference.

I'm passionate about

I’m passionate about empowering others through knowledge, dialogue, and creativity. As someone who has worked closely with students, youth organizations, and diverse teams, I believe in creating opportunities for people to be heard and understood. I’m also passionate about addressing social dilemmas and exploring how small, actionable changes can make the world a more inclusive place. And on a lighter note, I love the thrill of planning events and seeing them come to life, it’s a mix of stress and joy that I genuinely enjoy.

An idea worth spreading

The power of storytelling to dismantle stereotypes and rebuild narratives. I believe that by sharing stories of marginalized voices whether it’s transgender rights, the fight for religious expression, or other human rights issues we can inspire empathy and action. A single powerful story can shift perspectives and start meaningful conversations that ripple far beyond the stage.

The TED story

My TED story started with my love for listening to and learning from people’s experiences. During my time in law school and through internships, I realized how often people’s stories are overlooked simply because they don’t have a platform. I’ve always been drawn to spaces that amplify voices, and that’s what excites me about TEDx. It’s the perfect stage for big ideas and untold stories. As Vice President of my college’s Executive Council and someone who has worked on human rights issues, I see TEDx as an extension of everything I care about: ideas, storytelling, and making people feel seen. To me, it’s not just an event, it’s a way to build connections and spark change.

People don't know I'm good at

People don’t know that I’m good at making the impossible feel possible. I love challenges that push me to think creatively and I’m also pretty good at switching between serious law discussions and random creative projects. I enjoy balancing both sides of my personality!
